International Children's Art Exhibition

"Such a Big World, I Have a Beautiful Home" – the 2026 "Friends of Nature" International Children’s Art Exhibition is a public welfare event with international influence. Co-hosted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Representation in China, China Evening News Photographers Association, Beijing Lao She Literature and Art Foundation, and the Organizing Committee of the International Children’s Painting Tour Exhibition of China, the exhibition aims to build a bridge for cross-cultural dialogue through the paintbrushes of children from five continents, and help promote the global popularization and realization of the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. To date, over one million children and their families have taken part in this public welfare initiative. The touring exhibition has received enthusiastic support from local governments and the public, and garnered extensive media coverage.

"Such a Big World I Have a Beautiful Home"  International Children's Art Exhibition is an international non-profit series of activities held since 2017. Jointly organized by United Nations FAO China, the China Evening News Photography Society, and China Beijing Laoshe Art and Culture Foundation, the aim is to promote the global dissemination and achievement of the United Nations' 2030 Sustainable Development Goals for children and young people. This public welfare activity is aimed at children aged 3 to 12 worldwide, showcasing their unique perspectives and understanding of sustainable development through the collection of artwork. The annual art exhibition theme is released globally in multiple languages, attracting and collecting works from children and teenagers from different countries. Full of childlike innocence and imagination, their works depict a beautiful vision of harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature.

Launched in 2017, the painting exhibition has successfully run for eleven sessions, drawing active participation from children across more than 30 countries and regions worldwide. So far, over 100 touring public welfare shows have been held in countries including China, the Netherlands, Italy, the United States, Russia, the Republic of Korea, Egypt, Canada, Thailand, Kenya and Tanzania.

As an integral part of the exhibition, a thematic public welfare song is created every year. Combined with intangible cultural heritage and other diverse art forms, we carry out poverty alleviation and disability-support public welfare activities under the theme "Hand in Hand, Paintings Warm Young Hearts".

The International Children’s Painting Tour Exhibition is committed to providing a platform for children to engage in globally-concerned issues via art forms such as painting, and express their pure thoughts and feelings. Through rich and diverse cultural exchanges, it fosters understanding of multiculturalism and a sense of global responsibility, showcases children’s creativity and influence, jointly builds a bright future for the world, and advances the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals.
