Organizational History
World Cultural Exchange (WCE) was started in 2002, as an organization whose primary mission was to create an atmosphere of enlightened appreciation for the various ethnic traditions in Huntsville and its immediate neighboring towns. WCE became a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization in May 2008. Since its initial declaration of purpose, WCE has participated in, organized or sponsored many cross-cultural events, that introduced to the public, tradition, foods, music, dance, and other art forms which characterize various facets of life. The success of these events can be measured by the increasing participation of at events, such as the Celebration of Cultures, Sam Houston Folk Festival, Wynne Home Arts Center and the City of Huntsville. WCE continues to provide opportunities to celebrate cultural diversity.
